Back in the first week of July I posted in a kidney stone thread that an 11MM stone was found (that had been making my life “uncomfortable” Frown ) for a while was found...it became worse until it was apparent that it was not going to pass on its own. As a result of my being on Plavix and aspirin daily as a result of my stroke in April and the resulting carotid artery stent, until I was off Plavex for five days, the urologist could not attempt to remove it (catch 22).
My neurologist agreed to suspend the Plavex for the needed time, but not aspirin. The urologist and hospital said under the circumstances they still could not do lithotripsy (to much chance of uncontrollable bleeding) but could do a cystoscopy and laser it to smaller pieces...
That was done last Monday after four days of nausea and pain, a stent was installed between my kidney and bladder to help drain the fragments...
Yesterday another cystoscopey with laser was done and the stent was removed...the blood in my urine has cleared up (maybe TMI, but I’m happy)...my appetite was back today (I’ve lost 23 pounds since this started from not wanting to eat or being able to keep it down)...I know I’m on the mend because I felt like mounting the scope on the .223 Ruger American Ranch Rifle I picked up a month ago Smile

The one time where 11mm isn't better than 10mm.

Good to hear you're on the mend. I've had several kidney stone but none anywhere near 11mm. Still unbelievably painfull nonetheless.
