All-Clad pots/pans vs other options?
I buy stainless. If/when I mess it up, I sand it with 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 grip wet or dry sandpaper. I sand it wet and sand until smooth as glass. After doing this a few times, the pans hold little or no stains or spotting. Nothing seems to stick.

Stainless is the only way for me. Costco’s Kirkland Signature has been pretty decent overall.

When my wife and I got married in 2006, we got a new set of Emeril teflon cookware from All-Clad. It was cheaper than the All-Clad line of teflon, but with proper care, it's been running strong for 13 years now.

I don't know who makes his line of teflon cookware now, but the All-Clad version is solid. I'm not a Calphalon/Anolon fan. Those die an early death.
