Old Seiko divers are getting more valuable. That one in particular because of Apocalypse Now.

Glad I saw this thread.
I have a Seiko automatic and I never wore it.
Now it won't charge up if I do wear it.
I'm guessing it needs a new cell.

I'll send it here and see if they can fix it.

The SEIKO Service Center

If it is an Automatic it winds with the motion of your wrist/arm.If it has a battery or a cell it isnt an Automatic. What model number is it?

It could be an old Kinetic Quartz.

After looking at it is indeed a Kinetic.

No value on the Kinetics, I'm afraid. Get it fixed, wear it.

I ordered a replacement watch band from Uncle Seiko this morning. I'll start wearing the watch once the new band arrives and see how it keeps time. It is in pretty good shape but cleaning, servicing and restoring would be pretty expensive, I'd bet. Stickman428's suggestion to buy a newer Seiko dive watch like the SRP777 is likely a big money saver over the cost of restoring the 6105. The idea is appealing. That way my old diver remains in its original condition. Should I ever decide to part with it, I've done no damage to its value. Thank you all for your input.

This thread made me pull out my Seiko diver.

It's a 7s26-0020 model.

It's been sitting around without a band for years. Has a few scratches and marks on it as it was worn daily for years and taken on every dive it did during the time.

That watch has hundreds of dives on it. Certainly got used for what it was made for by name. Still keeps time.
