NavyGuyStatin Advice
My cholesterol and triglycerides have been well below established targets. I attribute that not so much as my eating habits which are not bad, but more so to my exercise routine which, until this covid shit, had me at the gym 4-5 days a week. Still my cardio doc pushed hard for me to go on statins to avoid stroke. So I started atrovastatin a couple of years ago, and I had zero side effects. Blood test so zero reduction of cholesterol (90~ for years, with high HDL). Still cardio doc says it's a good measure.. so she went to doctor school and I haven't so until there is some side effects, I'll stick with it. It is a fairly inexpensive med with Medicare.
