nhtagmemberConcorde was an awesome looking aircraft, and the SR71 can't be beat for elegance of design
you picked the Beech Starship and I would agree that it has great lines - lousy performance but great lines. The Piaggio Avanti I think got it right
I recall seeing a Starship for sale - it was going for the paltry sum of $100,000...

MNSIGIt probably can't actually happen, but I think I'd always be worried about a prop strike on take off with the Starship.

cheesegritsI've always loved the various Lockheed Electra and Constellation models. And the de Havilland Comet is beautiful, IMO:

PerceptionI can't argue with any of the ones posted above. In addition I have always loved the Piaggio Avanti.
"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in." September 28, 2017, 02:10 PM

For me, it's the F4U. P-38 and P-51 are right up there tho. Pretty much any WWII fighter, really.

No argument from me.
My first thought when I saw the thread title was the P-38. Although the SR-71 is a fine looking plane as well.
And, I've always thought the Concorde was a stunning aircraft.

Of course, my taste may be suspect, as I always found the Phantom II to be a sexy bird, in a junkyard dog sort of way.

The F-4 Phantom...put two J79 engines together and even a brick will fly!
I would add the P-51 Mustang.

The Staggerwing is a looker too.

GibbI can't post photos from my phone, but I've always thought the Grumman X-29 was a killer jet design. Something about those forward swept wings (and being the inspiration for a GI Joe plane didn't hurt).

PorterNMy grandpa always loved the Spitfire. He got me a little metal, scale model of one as a kid that I'd fly around the house making it shoot at my army men and other toys. I'm sure I still have it around here somewhere...

P250UA5^ The Spit & Mustang get an honerable mention for me. The P38 has always been my favorite prop-powered warbird of that era.
