I've had left shoulder impingement with moderate winging over the last year and a half. It has improved. Mostly through strengthening and ROM exercises. I do dead hang when I can. I think red light therapy helps. Lots of videos out there. No history of injury probably bad posture and not enough pushups.
Back in December, I had an end of work season chiropractor appointment. I could not raise my right arm above parallel with the ground. He shocked me and popped me and loosened it right up. Maybe I should go back.
Based on your OP, I was going to suggest seeing a chiropractor. I would ask for a consult first and discuss your issues. A good one will probably want you to get a x ray so they can see what’s going on before they start cranking away on you. Maybe a mix of adjustment and electric stimulation would help. Good luck, I hope you find something that gives you some relief. ........................................... All I've had all day is like six gummy bears and some scotch...

What sort of motions cause the issue? Is it only during pressing motions? That said, I'll also ditto the suggestion for a chiropractic assessment. They can adjust shoulders, clavicles, sternums, etc. as well as your back. ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time.

It’s always afterward. Sometimes just being still. Shrugging starts the crackling. Lifting my hands up above my head there is always a pause right at the parallel to the ground point.

I won’t comment on the medical aspect but I do know a lot about fitness. Consider isometric training, at least for exercises that cause joint pain. Bottom line upfront, Isos can be as or more effective than traditional weight training both in terms of strength and hypertrophy. They do it with no joint movement so no joint pain. Bonus points for studies showing they can have a therapeutic effect and reduce joint pain. Anecdotally, my knee has been hurting lately and it feels better after some isometric exercises not worse and not the same. I’d recommend at least buying the isometric manual at the link below, it is great info and well worth the read. They also have an expensive isometric training device, I haven’t splurged on it, tempting though as my joints can’t take what they used to. https://www.dragondoor.com/ “People have to really suffer before they can risk doing what they love.” –Chuck Palahnuik Be harder to kill: https://preparefit.ck.page
