I think you meant to type "NZ" (New Zealand), not "ND" (North Dakota). I had a "farm stay" at a sheep ranch on one of my tours there, too--very nice (but I don't care for lamb or mutton...).

I didn't card much for lamb until our first trip there. Now one of my favorites.

My dad once made a leg of lamb, many years ago. I vaguely remember, after close to fifty years, not much caring for it.

However, I ate a bunch of it when I visited Israel and absolutely loved it. The guys down at the local grocery store tease me somewhat when I come in because I'll frequently special order some from them. They all think it's gross, although they admit having never had it or never having had it cooked right.

It makes a wonderful kabob.
