corsairGot a pile of old Roku devices...now what?
My cousin passed away unexpectedly several years ago and my aunt took on bunch of his stuff, she's now moving and we're trying to help shrink the pile, part of it is 5-6 different Roku units. I swear, he bought a new one when each release came out. What they hell does one do with older generation Roku devices?
The gen3 and gen2s are relevant (to a degree) but, the XD/S and XR....now what? Garage sale? eBay? E-waste?

eyriche-waste probably
the old ones aren't just slow, some of them don't support all the features of current client.
ie old Roku can't do multiple profiles in netflix.
I would make sure to either reset them or boot up and make sure all accounts are disconnected.

JupiterI actually prefer the older devices.
No Alexa.

Black92LXThey are trash because Roku sucks and quits supporting their old devices rather quickly.
I have a bunch in the closet that work to an extent but they no longer are capable of updating apps.
So many apps don’t work right on the older ones.

radiomanFor a while Amazon was taking them as trade-in toward a fire-stick. I got like $15 for my old one that way.
Then you have a pile of firesticks

(not sure if Amazon is still doing that trade in deal or not)
