Watching the Weather Channel this morning, it appears there are large portions of the upper Midwest, Upper North East getting October snow.

How many in the forum are getting these snows??

We drove from Idaho Falls, Idaho to Kalispell, Montana yesterday with snow most of the way from Dillon up. It snowed much of the night and here is my backyard just now.....

Looks like winter will stick around for the next week or so. Normal highs should be in the 50's but not this year. It sucks.

Record high temperatures (for here) recently, and sunny or no more than 20% chance of snow through Saturday.

Nothing yet. Freezing rain is predicted.

I spent the weekend pheasant hunting in Noonan, ND. It was in the high 30s on Friday. Saturday and Sunday didn’t break 30 because of the wind. This morning was 16 degrees. Headed back home now where it will be 88 degrees when I land.

We got just shy of 3" here. (Less between buildings.)

Neighbor flagged me this morning that my outboard garage's window is broken and took pictures. No footprints or animal signs. Broken glass looks to have all gone inside.

Called my insurance folks and a glass repair outfit. Waiting to hear more.... Frown

Has spit snow a couple times last few days but no accumulation or on the ground. Snow showers off and on for this week. Currently 39. Pretty typical for this time of the year in the Yoop.

Oh yea, we got a nice wet dump here in Helena. It warmed enough to melt down a bit along with light rain. This morning our vehicles were covered in a heavy sheet of solid ice.

Scraping all the glass surfaces was quite the chore...I mighta cussed a bit Roll Eyes

Woke up to this yesterday. It's gone wherever the sun can hit it.

Supposed to be one of those "stupid cold" winters this year for us. That typically means less snow, so we'll see!

Jim, no clue. No other such in the neighborhood so who knows. Broken glass is all inside the garage. Note no human or animal footprints in the snow. Being quoted in the $350 range for the fix. Haven't heard from the adjuster yet.

Granted, it might look different close up, but from the photo that appears to be an odd breakage pattern.

We got just enough snow to stick today. It's melted off the road and ground, but still sticking to the leaves and grass.

Thanks to all who replied!

Large amount of acorns around my land this fall.
Not large ones, but covering the ground everywhere oak trees are. We had a mild winter last year, I hope not a rough one this year.

My old bones are beginning to reject the cold.
