MikeinNCNo one on a jury would convict him, might as well clear him.

papaacSeveral years ago, on the East End of Houston, armed burglars tied up and pistol whipped the elderly owner of a jewelry store. They then began beating his wife. He got out of the ropes they tied him with, got his pistol and left the bad guy dead right there.
he reporter for the Chronicle wrote a positive story about the shooting. I emailed her and told her it was the best story I had seen in the Chronicle in years. She thanked me and said she was glad he had a gun to defend himself and his wife.
I have a friend who is a Harris Country homicide sergeant. He said she was the only reporter for any media who got the facts straight.

As long as he doesn't say something stupid before his lawyer sits him down, there is a good story.
The perp was still running around, appeared to have his gun and threatening the nearby public and I shot him to protect others.
A hard story to contradict.
