FedEx has something similar. Didn't help at all when my first overnight box didn't even make it on the truck. Walked over to the drop off the next morning after a series of email asking where the documents were at and found the box sitting on the shelf. New whizbang tracker attached. Nobody knew where the box was untilI told them to look on the shelf behind them.

I peeled the labels off of a box to use it to ship something else. On the back of one of the labels was what I assume was the RFID thingy, a foil-like thing about the size of a small postage stamp. Can't remember if it was FedEx or UPS, UPS I think. It wasn't the big address label, but the smaller one with the barcode on it.

Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.

I guess it doesn't help in package delivery. I see the same truck driving by my house 4-5 times a day. The mailman drives by once a day.

I'll ask my Driver, to be sure, but I would bet UPS has a tracker in that hand held they use to scan stuff,

USPS can track the scanners they use, betting Fed Ex can too

FWIW, got a package the other day with that sticker on the bottom of it,

and reused the box to ship something else out this morning,

wondering if that will mess with the system, or not,

betting not
