We’d better up our drone game pretty soon if we want to continue to compete on the world stage.

Someone's gotta be an example for the rest. Even if it's an example of "What not to do".

Heck, maybe he WANTS to get hammered by the chain of command and/or kicked out. That way, he would make front-page news and really boost his views/numbers. These 'influencers' are the ultimate attention whores. Even 'bad press' for them can be leveraged into more visibility, which in turn, translates into more money. Of course, if they whack this douche hard enough, it might make the wannabe's straighten up.

IMO, a 'military influencer' is a contradiction in terms.

...

As for the Army guys - whack some of the biggest moles hard enough and the others should learn by the example.

The problem with Attention Seeking behavior is that the seeker can't dictate the type of attention they get. Then they whine more when it's "bad" attention.

Private Schmuckatelli wants attention... Well, give it to him.
A good Plt Sgt should be in his ass 24-7.

FOD walk in the cold rain. But not HERE, do it in the LZ WAAAAYYYYYYY over THERE.
Cigarette butt gets caught up on a helo rotor, that could be dangerous.

"See that pallet of 5.56? Well it needs to be loose and not on those stripper clips"
"Shit, wrong pallet, you need to put it all back on the stripper clips!"

Dig a fox hole.
Oh, the foxhole needs to be moved 10 feet to the right.
Not that "right", fucknuts! The other "Right"!

That's not even looking at the UCMJ. There's at least 10 things a good Plt Commander can ding him on.
He's making money off of his YouTube / TicToc bullshit? Well, take it from him.

There's a thousand ways to play the old "Fuck-Fuck" games.
Do it right, Pvt Schmuckatelli gets' the message, so does the rest of the Unit. Wink
Or you can send the message to the Unit, and the Unit will make sure Pvt Schmuckatelli receives the message.

(Speaking as a former Sgt in the Corps. Cool)

But the problem is now instead of learning the error of his ways and straightening up, he now runs to the Inspector General or Congress critter and cries about "abuse" and then YOUR ass is in big trouble. And they will back HIM up and not you.

I think you underestimate just how incredibly soft, fragile and willing to shift blame this Gen Z is. It's almost evil in a way.

I hope it's not that bad today!
I'll find out in a few days. My Lil Brother is coming into town for Christmas. He's got a Full Bird on his collar over at 1MarDiv. He's mentioned a few things about "changes" in the Marines...

Oh it most certainly is that bad today and it's not limited to junior enlisted and/or gen z.

I'm currently under investigation so I won't comment until it's been adjudicated in January but it's some shit people will pull these days.

Let me just say that yesterday morning, I handed my ID to a uniformed MP at the guard gate that had fingernails like a woman and was wearing Elvis style gold sunglasses.
