I live in the east SF Bay Area, and about 6 pm, pdt, my son and I were outside. He looked up and, through breaks in the clouds, noticed several lights in the sky. I counted at least six or seven, single white lights, spread out randomly, traveling north to south, and some appeared to be moving faster than others. We initially thought it might be star link, but star link travels in a straight line, all at the same speed. He checked to see if any satellites were scheduled to pass over, but found nothing. I thought they might possibly be high flying military aircraft, but they were completely silent, and I know military aircraft are generally pretty loud. Any ideas, I’m stumped.

Star link starts out after deployment in a "train" close order string, then as they disperse and take position in each satellite's orbital position, they will become less "ordered" and begin moving in what appears to be more random movement.

Definitely not a meteor shower, these were either aircraft or satellites.
