0-0How do I unlight a SF thread (chrome related)
Whenever I visit the lounge the thread about Commie Alexandria something appears lighted.
I do not care for the topic, never have.
Seems to be a lighted sticky ...
Help me get rid of it.
Other highlights I'm fine with them and they make sense to me. It's just this one in particular.
Thanks.

reloader-1Perhaps I’m reading this wrong, 0-0, but that lighting merely means you clicked on that thread in the past, and it is saved as a cookie.
Given the high volume of threads in the Lounge, it’s normal that only a few will appear “highlighted”, as they are the recurring threads (Trump, Memes, etc).
If it really bothers you, clear your history and cookies.

PossibleZombieIt might be that you have an ad malware installed that is creating hot links on the pages you view. You should check you list of installed programs and look to see what has been newly installed or what you don't recognize and then delete. Some are hard to delete and you may need to look up the step by step instructions to rid yourself of malware.

0-0It is just this single thread. No other fancy stuff anywhere else.
I usually check SF using my Android Phone.

craglawnmanorI'm lit right now.
How do I get myself unlit (other than sleeping it off)?
I tried Alt and left mouse click, but that didn't work.
(On an aside note, my dog said she was of the opinion that I needed to "own up" to being lit!)

WoodmanI use Safari but just jumped over to Chrome (way faster but I'm not much on trying anything new). Got topics to highlight, then cleared cookies through Advanced Preferences. When SF was refreshed the highlit topics lost their glow.

LS1 GTOMaybe it's not lit and it's something subliminal?

HRKAlways wondered about that, I'd go in read all the "lit" threads in a section, close it, move on and the threads I'd read would still show unread "Lit" even though there have been no new replies since I'd read the thread(s).
Thought the "lit" bulb was to indicate threads you'd not opened that had new posts, however I've found that it doesn't always work that way, some threads just stay lit....

0-0It was the cookies fault! Thank you guys.
Now if you excuse me, I'll keep looking for a way to plug a mouse to my Android phone so I can try right clicking on it as some of you suggested since restarting my computer didn't fix my phone
