For sure, the bring back and two 22lr rifles *I think* were his dads. I would not let those go. "Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway." Steve McQueen...

dry-fly, you do not mention having siblings, children or nephews and nieces, or the possibilities of them. My grandfather's stuff was gone without me having something to remember him with. Same for my brother and sisters.

I can't tell if I'm tired, or just lazy |
Since you state, "it's not your speed", then you'd probably be happier if you sold it. My first hunting rifle that I ever bought was a Winchester Classic lever action with an octagon barrel. I bought this back in the 60's and I still have it. To me there is something cool and nostalgic about Winchester lever actions. _____________________________ "The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living." It is a nice rifle for sure… I can appreciate all firearms, it’s just not something I’d go out and buy myself. I have one older sister, she won’t be getting any of these rifles mentioned. I doubt she even knows they exist. There’s plenty of memorabilia to go around. Of the four rifles, this one simply seems to have the least “story” behind it and it’s worth the most. Biggest thing I’m interested in is y’all’s opinions that have been in this situation. I’m not a big keepsake kinda person, but I do not want to let something go that I’ll potentially regret. You could sell it in a moment, and have the rest of your life to regret it.

Do you have any children that would want it? I ended up with my grandfather’s ceremonial dress sword from the 1920’s when he was in ROTC because my uncle and aunt didn’t want it. Sometimes the grandkids have/had a relationship with the grandparents that you might not realize regarding a particular item. I also got my grandmother’s organ for the same reason. __________________________

There are millions of AR-15s, but only one Winchester Model 94 that belonged to your Dad.

Dude, Para made two comments on your thread. I think the polite thing is to acknowledge the man and what he said. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." My bad. I didn't see that post and I just did. I apologize. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. No worries Rey. I asked Para to lock the thread. It was never for sale here and I did not intend the thread to go in that direction. "Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway." Steve McQueen...
