I have an idea about an aftermarket magazine part. I would like to discuss it with someone who works with or manufactures plastic or rubber products. Possibly Ken Hogue? Anyone else? Hello 10-7, I am not in the plastics fabrication business, but I recently worked with JH Plastics in the Allentown, PA area and they may be a good resource for you. I am the 'buyer' for gas and coal fired power plants in the PJM market and we needed to replaced a 'sight glass' (cup shaped glass with a flange on top edge with a gasket groove on the flange) on a pretty old piece of equipment, and of course the part was obsolete and no longer available. We sent the dimensional design specs/drawings of the part along with its operational requirements (heat resistance, chemical resistance, vibration resistance, etc.) over to them. The owner was very knowledgable, easy to work with, and had a part designed and fabricated for us within a very reasonable time-frame and fair price for a one-off / custom manufactured item. I work for redwood plastics and rubber. We primarily sell sheet, rod, and tube as well as manufacturing parts via CNC machining and cast polyurethane. If what you are looking for needs to be injection molded I’m probably not your guy but otherwise let me know. | |||
