Any Toyota owners have...Tundra OEM Center Console Safe 00016-34174
....and if you do, how did you install it on a double cab?

It has the wide center console. The instructions indicate you have to yank out the rear double cup holders. I just don’t see why this has to be done.

I don’t have that one, but I’ve installed a Console Vault inside of my 2012 Toyota Tundra Crewmax. It required me to remove a screw at the bottom of my center console which allowed my Console Vault to be screwed into the frame (or at least that’s what it said).
The toughest part for me was fitting the vault into the center console. It just slid right in, after I struggled for a bit.

They want you to remove the rear cup holder to remove the lid. Cupholder panel pops off, disconnect the 12v plug, remove the bolts that hold the lid on. Be careful because it is under spring tension.
I have a full Gunvault in my 2014 double cab. I've had it in and out a couple times and never have removed the cover to get the safe in and out.. Just go slow and slide it in. You should only have to remove the 2 bolts that hold the safe in. Just in case you do have to remove the lid, here is a video that will show you how. I used it to install my wireless charger.
they really isn't anything to it.
