With the summer heat in full swing here in TX I tend to do more outdoor grilling in the morning. This morning was (supposed to be) a breakfast burrito using leftover carne guisada from last night.

Last night

This morning's prep

The result, well it was too full to be a burrito so who doesn't love a breakfast quesadilla? Probably the same folks that don't like tacos.

Both look delicious!

The OP is showing a lot of restraint in the first photo with that tiny portion. I don't think I have that much restraint (i.e. give me a huge bowl).

This was the photo op for you guys. The soup bowl followed shortly... Big Grin

I'd forgotten just how good homemade carne guisada was.

Looks great! Thanks for posting.

Most folks, including me, like the food they grew up with best. But Mexican is my second favorite.

Serious about crackers

He’s having a real breakfast, not a beer in the cleanest shirt in his closet...

Not to nitpick, but it's "cleanest dirty shirt". That was a poignant line from a very talented songwriter.
