Turns out 'unidentified' does not mean 'unidentifiable', after all. Wink

As expected, after a new investigation given complete clearance, there's nothing 'out there'.

WSJ 6/7/25: "The Pentagon Disinformation That Fueled America’s UFO Mythology" (unlocked article link)
quote:
Congress granted the office unprecedented access to America’s most highly classified programs to allow Kirkpatrick’s team to run the stories to ground.

Turns out that was the key.

Pentagon was afraid people near Area 51 might get glimpses of futuristic-looking stealth planes, or that the Russians might find out we were testing missile silos for EMP vulnerability, stuff like that, so they put out smoke screens, and those in the know tricked subordinates.

The article is a fascinating read, and you should all have free access via that link, so I am resisting the impulse to post spoilers. Supposedly this article is part 1, so will look for and post free link when part 2 pops out.

Well, to be fair (and logically correct) absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

This only speaks to the UFO-sightings craze. Maybe there are extra-careful aliens....maybe the Men in Black have a lot of flashy-things...maybe we are not cool enough that they drop by....maybe they are still at the amoeba stage and can't come by just now....

There may be aliens out there somewhere but unless faster-than-light travel or wormholes can exist, there’s little chance of them ever getting to our sleepy little backwater corner of the Milky Way. We may not be alone in the universe, but the chances of us ever running into anyone else is slim to nonexistent.

The Air Force Museum in Ohio has some cool 'black' projects on display. Bird of Prey,Tacit Blue stealth plane, etc. Funny that they haven't added any new 'black' planes since the mid 90s or so.

Maybe we haven't developed ANY new black projects in 30 years ?....

Or, maybe they STILL test them in the desert but just stopped letting us see the projects that ended. . .

UFOs is a perfect smoke screen to keep people from discovering what really goes on out there.

UFO enthusiasts need to watch Mirage Men and consider the admissions from a US govt employee and how he used UFOs as a distraction for black projects and classified craft to keep certain projects from being discovered. If they did this who knows what else is a lie.
