Biloxi has the distinction of being the only US city to ever have a mayor convicted of murder for hire. You're talking radical lifestyle change here. You might want to consider a 3 to six month stay at a couple of sites before committing. I remember being sent to Big Spring, TX in the early 80's from San Francisco. It was, shall we say, different. Like the gas station guy said, "Mama, you gotta come and see! They have a Honda car!"

I've been to all three and I would choose Blue Ridge. Beautiful area and close enough to ATL if you need the big city. Good Luck. RMD TL Davis: “The Second Amendment is special, not because it protects guns, but because its violation signals a government with the intention to oppress its people…” Remember: After the first one, the rest are free.

Told cops where to go for over 29 years… |
Northern GA is on my short list for when I retire. Other two in the top three are eastern Kentucky and eastern Tennessee. Part of me wants 5-10 acres of peaceful solitude, but another part wants a Costco within 45min to an hour and high speed internet available. I am about 4-5 years out and hoping to find something that hits both... What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

Fresh list on ‘best’ states to retire, yeah I know, rather subjective. Some positions may surprise you. https://wallethub.com/edu/best...tes-to-retire/18592/

Hattiesburg area is about 60 miles north of Biloxi. It’s a nice area. Get over it!!

Well I like Blue Ridge, good access to health care, low taxes and plenty to keep you entertained. Mountains galore and plenty of things to see and do.
