ElToroEverything else being equal, Florida for the tax and homestead protections. All 3 will be subject to hurricanes no ?

RHINOWSOI'd dump JAX right away - it's a huge mess of sprawling city and military bases as far as the eye can see. Traffic blows bad and unless you live near the water, you'll rarely see it.
Biloxi, MS ain't bad but I've never lived there, just visited. There should be plenty of options along the coast from Bay St Louis to Mobile that straddle the Biloxi area.
Jawja, never been to the Blue Ridge area just up as far as Dahlonega which was pretty.
Florida has no state income tax, if that matters. I still wouldn't live in Jax.

220-9erI live in the GA mountains and it’s great here. Georgia has a lot of senior income and property tax benefits, cost of living is low, temperatures aren’t too extreme, lakes and rivers nearby, lots of outdoor activities and gun law friendly.

doublesharpNo place I'd rather be than the Ohio River Valley near Louisville but if I had to move Ga/Tn mountains would be my first choice.

GWbikerCome to Arizona and bring your guns. When the big earthquake hits California, we'll have ocean front.

Sig Sauer KrautBlue ridge mountains are nice but most of the area is pretty rural. That’s great if that’s what you want, but it’s pretty different from Jax and I’m guessing different from Biloxi but I haven’t been.

Jupiter and Stuart (just North) are great places, so is Naples on the West coast.
You couldn't pay me to live in Biloxi, Jacksonville sucks to a degree but just South in St. Augustine, The GA mountains are kind of weird.

Says a guy from Florida... doesn't get weirder than the sunshine state.
Might hear a little backwoods banjo music in Georgia is all

BassamaticYeah, Biloxi can get stupid hot. From your list I think I would head towards Georgia.

YooperSigsGA gets my vote. I have been looking at Gulf Shores which would put me closer to my kid in NOLA.

PASigI spent 4 months in Biloxi while at USAF tech school.
What I recall:
-DISGUSTING HOT and HUMID in summer, I was there August to November. I’m from PA where we can have some really nasty hot humid weather in the summer, but this was crazy.
-You live under constant threat of hurricanes and flooding during hurricane season, like Get-The-Hell-Out kind of threat
-Weather was kind of strange; it could be bright sun and blue skies, then 10 minutes later the sky would be absolutely black and it would storm like the end of the world for 10 minutes then 10 minutes after that it would be bright sun and blue skies again
-BBQ, Po’Boys, fried shrimp and Muffaletta available locally were great!

snwghstim about 50 miles from Biloxi
Yes, 1/2 June, July, August 1/2 Sept can be insanely hot and humid
However... essentially no winter and oct, nov, dec, Jan, feb, March, April, May all comfortable except for the maybe 45 days of what could be “winter” lows in the 40’s
I’d look more at the bay St. Louis, Long Beach, Gulfport, Ocean Springs areas over Biloxi. Unless you like casinos in very close proximity
It’s dirt cheap to live in MS
Don’t count out AL. It’s very favorable to those with a military retirement

10X-ShooterBlue Ridge is a fine slice of North Georgia heaven. If you’re looking for Whole Foods, Starbucks, Target, malls, Publix, then you’ll hate it there. There is however a Walmart and Dairy Queen. If you’re wanting to get away from. The cities and find a nice quiet place to retire with wood, rivers, etc then probably your place.

sourdough44The only place I would consider in FL is the ‘pan-handle’, even that would take some doing.

My cousin lives in Bay St. Louis. She loves it but we are from LA so she's used to the weather

tha1000If you are moving for beautiful water and beaches, cross Biloxi off the list. If you want good fishing, modest temps, and a great local shooting scene... Biloxi is your place.
