One entrance was just a hole about 15 feet. Some guys could put their back against one wall and their feet against the opposite wall and work their way down. I had a thick rope we used. One section was a narrow tunnel about five feet tall,opened up into a beautiful big room but it was a dead end. When we went in the water was ankle deep, when we came out the water was up to our chest. That one scared me. Cavers motto: Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints. | |||

Guessing if you count urban spelunking. The town close by has a few tunnels that go between buildings and under the roads. Prohibition era speakeasy stuff. Find a piece of plywood on the floor in a lawyers office? The tunnel goes across the road, past the old cable care maintenance route, and comes out in the sidewalk in front of the shoe store. Can't imagine the stories that can be told back then... | |||
