They are made by one of their primary competitors in the industry. There's no compelling reason for them to suggest Surefire.

True of many manufacturers. Glocks in .357 Sig just say .357, .45 ACP says .45 Auto, .40 S&W says .40, etc.

I believe most of the USA made CR123a batteries (panasonic,surefire,streamlight and battery station) are made in the same factory in America.
I haven't noticed any difference in performance between the Surefire and Panasonic batteries.
I buy whatever is cheaper and that is usually Panasonic.
