True here also, but that is because they would get lost in the snow!
But guess that isn't the reason in Florida? Wink

Subaru seems to have really nice colors right now.

I'm really digging the gray-blue and even their orange.

It seems like the colors are almost creamy like they took a color and mixed in a little cream just like you would cream into a coffee.

You can, however continue to count on Porsche to offer colors such as "Lizard Green"!

A huge downgrade from their darker "Rally Blue", IMO. These greyish baby blue ones I've seen in person have an almost purplish/mauve hue...

Here's a color swatch for "Mauve Blue", which looks to be a very close match:

Compare to Subaru's best blue Big Grin :

BMW's new metallic Toronto Red is quite the stunner, I have a 2020 X3 M40 on order in this color. We should be able to find it in the snow :-)

I'll spend two years deciding on a new vehicle, and started perusing manufacturer's websites a couple of months ago. Good to know dark grey is still in style.

Same time period I had a Ford Gran Torino wagon which I purchased for $100.00 to hold me over while working on my Camaro.

The Ford was "faded puke yellow" however the previous owners had attempted a fair amiunt of body work and the end result were giant black primers spots all over the car....this amused my friends and there car was dubbed the Leopard until random parts started falling off and the name was changed to the leper

I've noticed the switch to non metallics on Subaru's and Toyota pickups. Few days ago I was surprised to see a Honda CR-V in a very flat, pastel color.

The new C8 Corvette has a few dandy new colors; Accelerate yellow, which is basically road worker, safety, hi-viz yellow/green. And Rapid Blue which is close to NASCAR Petty blue.

I like the options quite frankly.

Jim,

Honestly haven't paid all that much attention. Probably because I'm focused on "the other guy" when driving and not what he's driving or the color of his ride.

Then there's the fact that my current vehicles bought new all have Metallic exterior paint: Phantom Black Metallic (2011) and Sebring Silver Metallic (2003). Earlier vehicle, also bought new, that my local son still drives is Arcadia Green Pearl Metallic (1999).
Flat colors simply weren't an option nor would I have embraced them. Smile

These were options when I bought my Crosstrek. The blue was very feminine when I looked in the showroom. I believe it was called cool gray khaki. It actually looked better on the road. But I had to stick with regular silver. Construction cone orange was also not one I’d consider.

These go to eleven.

Up charge for metallic colors on many cars now. From $500 & up. And you give them $195 to get a steel spare tire.

Solid colors are coming back. No matter how many fancy metallic / effect colors come out, globally black and white are still the highest volume colors across all vehicles. This never changes year over year.

Then there's a new color not seen. BMW painted an X6 in Vanta Black, carbon nanotubes that absorb ninety nine point nine six percent of light. Light gets in but can't get out and dissipates as heat. It renders the car into what appears to be close to a two dimensional object.

In the early '60s, I changed my light blue-green 1955 Chevy Delray to a flat black primmer with '56 Buick tail light lens, a tube grill, black pleat-and-roll upholstery and half-moon hubcaps. Big Grin

The best current green is British racing green, and Porsche had a magnificent 1965 356 SC, dark gun-metal grey.

Vehicles which are the color of the highway asphalt are dangerous because they cannot be seen at a glance.
There is something wrong with the psyche of people nowadays. They think that these shades of grey are attractive? Or if that is too flashy for them, they get white!. This is sick.

Are you serious? You're complaining because people are driving black, white and gray cars? Confused
