One thing is for sure. If Iran can crank out a few nukes, they surely will now.
But they can’t. Their nuclear engineers, scientists, and facilities have been wiped out, or are being wiped out.
Unless Iran had some really good contingency plans. I am assume they they considered the fact they may get attacked by Israel one day.
But you make a really good point that they are so degraded they can not produce a weapon now. This in it's self should keep the United States from entering into another war in the Middle East.

I hope that's true and that we don't get involved.

whanson_wiArabs culturally hoard knowledge as a source of power, and don't disseminate training or knowledge to their workers, not even to their next-in-command.
Hopefully the Iranians/Persians have the same habit, and lots of knowledge has been splattered around in the last few days, with no backup available.

I would like to apologize to anyone I have *not* offended. Please be patient. I will get to you shortly.

sigfreundOdd, isn’t it, that we get involved in wars even when we don’t want to.
Based on the many opinions I’ve seen, we should just be able to say, “No, we’re not going to fight you in a war,”—sort of like being able to tell a criminal, “No, you can’t crime me,” and have him sulk off in disappointment.

HRKIsrael should sign a 30 day lease for a B-2 with armament. Let them fly it and drop the bunker busters, payment $1 Rial.

In what way could we possibly get involved? A couple of sorties to drop a bunker buster on each facility or lend Israel a B-2 or two for a few days? After that there is no further objective we could possibly achieve. Are you guys afraid Iran will invade us? I just don't understand this discussion of war. It makes no sense.

I actually had the thought yesterday to train 2 Israelis to fly a B2 and let them drop the bombs so we can say the Israelis did it.

And upholding a treaty doesn't mean it's all sunshine and rainbows in Iran but in a single direction with a single issue organization and that focus being "lets not use nuclear weapons, ever" and that organization is saying Iran is in compliance. Where as the Israelis refuse to join said organization, or permit any kind of inspectors into their nuclear program or facilities. has been saying for, as you can see above, years Iran wants nukes! Never you mind what we're doing in the Negev.
The CIA and NSA said that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. And now they seem more preoccupied with taking a side in domestic politics than international issues. But you stated that Israel(not India, my mistake) was a principal source for our intel on Iran, not our agencies. You have backtracked on this.
Iran has not given inspectors unfettered access to nuclear inspections. And they are probably the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world. Your point here is just ridiculous. You are attempting to hold up one of the worst countries on the planet as more virtuous than Israel.
Reading through through this thread, I agree with others here that you seem to be exhibiting some antisemitism.

AglifterThe nuclear powers will not let a minor nation have a nuke on the straits of Hormuz.
Iran is obsessed with getting power beyond its borders, for whatever reason.
They could live in peace, they chose not to.
As long as we don’t waste a lot of our money/lives trying to “save” them, who cares.
Destroy the threat to trade and civilization, and move on.

AglifterIran can do all kinds of things. None of which will change the resolve of Israel.
All they can do, is bring additional enemies into the fight.
It’s weird how desperate they are to make the world afraid of them. It’s bizarre.
If they succeed, they will get destroyed.
Is anyone seriously interested in invading Iran?
