Be away for a bit, Surgery Thursday
I have contracted a strep infection in my knee prosthesis'. Both of my artificial joints will have to be removed and an extensive antibiotic protocol will follow before the joints can be replaced. My right knee will be worked on this Thursday, April 21 and the left will be removed on June 8. Pretty much going to flush my summer down the drain During the time both knees are out, I will be in a wheelchair and possibly in a care facility but prefer to be home if at all possible. Looks like I may be in the hospital for a few days after this first surgery so doubt there will be any comms during that time.

Osteo is no fun. With a total joint myself, it's something that I am very careful with. Best of luck to you.

Good luck, my man. That does not sound like fun Frown

Re: Comms. Each time I've been in our favorite hospital it's been no problem. They have WiFi and I have phone, tablet, and chargers.

I think the hospital WiFi does block gun sites. My VPN takes care of that.

Heck, don't even have to depend upon their TV. Don the Air Pods and fire up one of the streaming apps on my iPad--one of which gives me the ability to watch OTA TV, incl. DVR'd content, through the networked system at home.

That does not sound like a fun proceedure. Will you be able to walk better after you heal up? Geez I hope to never have to go through joint replacement problems. Heal up fast and get back to good health.

Good luck and I hope you heal quickly.

As someone who is getting scheduled for the first of two knee replacements, this is particularly not good to hear.
