So, the Aussies don't like guns, but they don't have any issue with selling them for a profit? Right.

How ironic. Maybe the Aussies can smuggle a few hundred back. For the wallabies and all.

Hear they got a real problem over there.

Selling your company to a one from one of the most firearm restrictive countries in the world. Must have gotten an offer they couldn't refuse.

Not so. The Australian GOVERNMENT don't like guns. A bit like the US Government at the moment....

Maybe they bought it because they can play here.

Gradually move everything here but paper pushers.

Just a guess, but that is what I would do.

Well, nothing bad happened to S&W when the Brits bought that company.

Perhaps it's an opportunity for them to exit Australia, they may fear that the government shuts down gun manufacturing or restricts and taxes it to death so they need a place to land.

This is a good point HRK. I hope it is correct. Barrett doesn’t strike me as the kind of person who would sell the company to people who hate guns. It is a mistake to assume all Aussies hate guns.

The article mentions they already have plans to expand the TN facility.
