4x5removing board and batten
When removing board and batten, what are some tips for removing the caulk used to seal the gaps between the boards and sheetrock? Last time I tried something like this, I really ruined the sheetrock, and I don't want to repeat that fiasco.

bigdealIf they tacked it in place and then simple caulked the edges, take a razor knife with a sharp blade and cut through the caulk on all the edges before prying the boards off. Use a jump bar and thin scrap of wood under it to prevent crushing the sheetrock. 'If' the board and battens were installed with adhesive caulk, you're pretty much screwed. You will damage the sheetrock removing them. The only question is how much damage you'll do. Good luck.
