Making me miss my horse. Sounds like a great day! Beautiful bunch you got there. If it won't matter in 5 years don't give it more than 5 minutes.

Karma is mine, in that he adopted me. He was my partner's hunter competition horse, but he always wanted to be with me, and kind of ignored her, so she bought Magnum and Fernando to compete on, and I have Karma. He's the old boy of the herd, and we take good care of each other. Trooper is owned by a friend, and is in our barn for training. He was mistreated at a sale barn, and we are rebuilding his confidence, keeping him in shape, and training him to compete as a hunter. So, while I ride the others on occasion, Karma is my go to ride. God I love horses. There's something so special about them, they are such dedicated animals. Glad to see that you're enjoying getting out for a ride Artie. We're starting our hot/humid afternoon showers down here along the coast as is every year about this time pre-hurricane season. Karma looks to be enjoying the day! Regards, Will G.

Here's an oldie of me out in Evergreen, CO on my friends horse Poco. This image was taken right before my hat blew off and when I got down to get it, he took off leaving me to walk back to the barn...talk about the walk of shame. As you'd expect folks outside of the barn got a good laugh when I walked up. I believe the horse knew exactly what he did and was laughing himself all the way back to his stall ![]() ![]() Regards, Will G.

I love to ride other people's horses. ![]() I know people who get up at 5:00 to feed, water, groom, etc. ..... then they go to work. then they come home and feed, water, groom, etc. I love horses - but only OPH. But if I ever win the lottery, I'll have horses and someone to care for them. *********************** * Diligentia Vis Celeritis * *********************** "Thus those skilled in war subdue the enemy's army without battle .... Thanks for the response- they are all gorgeous, I was wondering how you could choose between them, and I assumed personality, but now that it’s explained, make a perfect sense. He’s gonna make sure you stay safe. I sure hope Trooper comes around. __________________________ "Trust, but verify."

Here in Montana I see so many horses standing in the middle of a small property, in an over browsed/dirt area, day in, day out. Year after year. NEVER see them ridden or out of that small area. WHY do people do this? They deserve to be properly cared for and ridden. Or the folks who keep them penned and barely attended to ,for 50 weeks a year. Then take them up into the mountains to hunt, for two weeks. Then wonder why they are acting up, not behaving properly, out of shape, etc.

Artie, Good news! Congrats! I'm glad to hear you are back in the saddle. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Handsome animals. I like horses, enjoy being around them and am fine with them as long as we both keep our feet on the ground. No interest in riding them tho. They know I have NO idea what I'm doing and take advantage of me accordingly. After two experiences (not bad, just not fun) I made a solemn vow never to throw a leg over anything that doesn't have handlebars and brakes. ![]() Be careful when following the masses. Horses have handlebars, just grab their ears. They LOVE that! Brakes, now that can be a problem. I’m not sure what happened, but I have become less light and less limber. I showed working cow horses through high school, and used to be able to swing up from the ground on my 15/2 quarter horse bareback no sweat. On a bet, I swung on the 16/2 Dalmatian Appy that one of the girls at the stable had. No problem with that either back then. Not sure I’d try it even on a Shetland pony these days though... ![]()

Beautiful animals. The second photo reminds me of when some of my longhorns shot their album cover: ![]() "Pickin' stones and pullin' teats is a hard way to make a living.
