...and history would have changed. All would have been lost.

It was a funny moment when I told my wife "You'd be surprised. Online, I'm the positive guy."

She smiled slightly. "Really," she said, not so much a question.

"Well," I told her, "it's my job."

An inch and a half, a turn of the head, and we would really have things to be upset about. Instead, we have to settle for being angry that our guy is not the next Senate majority leader.

Little princess is upset that the leather in her birthday present Maserati is seashell instead of honeydew.

I was too young to “know where I was” for JFK assassination, but I will always remember where I was on that attempt on July 13th.

We were driving home from running some errands, just about a mile from home. After hearing the news and that he survived, I looked at my wife and told her ”Trump just won the election”.

Talking with my wife on election night, right after they called it for DJT I asked her - ”Do you remember what I said when we heard the news of the attempt? That he just won? It was God’s plan and meant to be”

It is nice having hope again.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I was just referencing this pic at lunch today with a friend.

Separate from the obvious tumult that would have ensued, the result of the failed attempt was a clear bump in support for Trump and combined with the awful debate performance from Uncle Joe, the DNC realized they were DOA come November and proceeded with their swapout. All for naught...the issues mattered more.

I was right here on SF and learned about it with Gustofer's first post of the incident.

My wife and I were running several errands that day. We stopped by home to put a few perishables away, and then we were going to go back out. I turned on the tube to occupy myself while she did her thing in the kitchen. That's when I discovered the attempt had just happened just minutes before I turned on the tube. When I saw Trump climb to his feet and shake his fist and say, "Fight! Fight! Fight!" I really got choked up!

Yeah - I'll never forget that.

If you can't be happy and grateful right now, you've got a screw loose.

An inch and a half and all of you would be miserable right now.

My wife and i were sitting with some friends along the lakeshore talking family and politics while nursing beers when our phones all pinged with the breaking news. I remember looking out over the water watching our kids playing and trying to reconcile what I was seeing with what we had just learned.

Best laugh I had this year was when Trump returned to Butler and said, “as I was saying…”

TRUTH!
We all should be celebrating that the rightful President will take office in January and because of the last 4 years of lunacy, this term will be MUCH more productive than the first term.
He’s seen the political potholes and is planning his way around them as we speak.
His cabinet appointments are proof that he isn’t screwing around this time with RINOs or swamp lizards.
May the Lord protect that man from here on out!

Scary to think what they would have done if they succeeded in the assassination attempt. I hope all of those scumbags are brought to justice.

I couldn’t be happier with how the election went. And I’m glad the ridiculous assclown thread went away. Trump is a genius and true patriot.

I am grateful for the miss. Our future for the next 4 years should be better than the last 4.

I am actually grateful he wasn't elected the last for years even though it sucked. I think during those four years was a massive teaching lesson on who to trust in the political world.
