9th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Harry Pregerson has expired
"U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Harry Pregerson, a Los Angeles-based jurist who embraced the underdog and let his conscience inform his rulings, has died. He was 94.

Pregerson, born in Los Angeles on Oct. 13, 1923, was one of the most liberal federal appeals court judges in the nation…"

Maybe that court can be brought back to follow the Constitution now.

All this winning is bringing some hope to those of us behind enemy lines.

Who's next? Let's hope it's Ginsburg.

Judge Pregerson had taken senior status years ago, so no new judicial appointments are in the offing.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

..embraced the underdog and let his conscience inform his rulings...

So his decisions were biased going in and following the rule of law took a back seat? His intentions were "good" so fuck that other shit.

It's kind of amazing how much stuff Jimmy Fucking Carter managed to screw up in only four years.
