Yes and no. Broad, hand-waving strokes (you can find details in the FARs, viewable online at fas.gov), there are limitations for paid flying, such as airline, air taxi, charter, instructors, etc.

There are no regulatory limitations in terms of specific hour limits for unpaid flying.
