He was a pioneer paving the way for Billy Mays. I'm even more impressed that he went bankrupt but got back up again. I suppose why he went bankrupt is another story.
RIP
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

RIP Mr. Popeil.
I never bought one, but now I wish I had. Damn handy invention!

I too bought a Pocket Fisherman and kept it in my war bag in the patrol car. When it was quiet, I would drive out to a gravel pit on my beat and snag Bluegills with it. Worth every penny!

The Pocket Fisherman was a great idea. My wife bought me a couple a few years ago. I threw a few lures in the handy handle. Always in the car!
