Kids are so wonderful..........until we grow into asshole adults.....myself included.
Bless that family and may she know love and support for the rest of her life.
Ima wipe this sand out of my eye now and go back to being the jaded asshole I am comfortable with being now. Where’s the damn Kleenex.

I've always had a soft spot for people who adopt. 10.5 years go I goose snatched a little boy who hasn't left my side since.

If that doesn't touch your heart, nothing will. Good on them.

I guess I am going to take the role of contrarian asshole today.
Why do people feel the need to to post incredibly personal videos on social media for just anyone to view?
It is wonderful that this little girl is being adopted into a home with loving parents. But why would you violate her future privacy by putting it on the internet. Go to YouTube right now, there are hundreds of these...making them public somehow takes away the uniqueness and beauty of the individual people involved.
The military 'surprise' reaction videos fall into the same category....at some point are you trying harder to surprise your family/friends....or make a video that can be posted on YouTube?
Again, not taking away from the events as a whole....just the desire to leave nothing private anymore.

Because getting recognition for the deed is more important than the deed itself to the vast quantity of self-absorbed narcissists that share every intimate detail of their lives to the world.
