ArtieSI like Swamp Boys for any kind of smoked barbecue. Their companion original sauce is also excellent, and the best sauce for serving barbecue I have ever had.

oddballDry seasoning- Tony Chachere's Creole
But seriously, the absolute favorite dry seasonings for me are fresh ground black pepper and sea salt.
No competition.

Have you tried the Chulola Chile Garlic flavor?
Yep. It’s not hot sauce, but it’s delish on vanilla ice cream.

BeancookerI work for a company that sells and specializes in spices. I make my own pretty much 99.5 percent of the time.
That said, shoot me your address via email Bald, and I’ll send you a blend I just created for beef and pork. It’s pretty amazing.
Just as well, I’m happy to publish any blends I make at home, for anyone who is interested.

83v45magnaI mix Tony Chachere's Creole with Angelo's BBQ spice mix (local to west Ft Worth, BBQ) about 50/50. Use it primarily on burgers or just plain sirloin.
It also has appeared when doing a great many other foods/experiments, too many to name.

There was a thread I started about this stuff several years ago. It is great on eggs among other things. I think I can take credit for tipping you off about the stuff just before you traveled to Costa Rica.

You are absolutely correct, and you have my undying gratitude.
You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.
