I would like a smart phone that monitors ambient noise levels and automatically adjusts the ring tone accordingly.

The other day I'm in Home Depot and I miss three calls because I don't hear it ring. That's when I got the idea. That same ringer volume level makes me jump when I'm sitting at my desk.

Great idea! That is one reason I like having an Apple Watch with my iPhone is I usually keep my phone on silent but know when I get a text or a call because of my watch. Although not everyone wants to buy a separate device so your idea is good. Heck iPhones adjust the screen brightness according to the surrounding lighting so why not the ringer to noise.

My HTC M8 had a function that it would ring louder if it sensed that it was in a pocket.

I wish my S9 had that function.

I create all my own ringtones. Most start out almost silent, and get significantly louder. If you don’t want to create tones, just choose a song that starts out soft, then gets loud.

Turn off your phone's ringer and let the vibration of this watch notify you when a call, text, or email is received. No matter how noisy the environment, you'll never miss anything. And best of all, this watch will actually go 20-30 days on a charge.

Disclaimer: This watch doesn't do a ton of things, but what it does do it does very well. And did I mention you only need to charge it about every 20-30 days. Oh, and I love the always on display. No need to constantly twist your wrist to activate the screen.

Why limit this innovation to just phones...I say it should be a feature on TV's and radios, with user input and setting limits.

I have the same problem. I think it’s a great idea.

I also wish Apple would separate the alarm volume from the ringer volume. I dislike loud alarms, so I turn the volume down. If I don’t remember to turn it back up, I miss phone calls.

It would have to be smart enough to know what the sound level is at your ears while being in your pocket, wife's handbag or anywhere else.

But seriously, it lists the weight also to be 32 grams. I think I'd assume that's closer to the mark.

Hmmm, reading the linked listing, in multiple place I read that it is 1.1 ounces or 32 grams. Are you looking at the shipping weight which may include charger, packaging, etc?

Yeah, I have no idea what's up with that. The watch itself is very light and comfortable. Even looks a bit like the iWatch from a distance.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happens, they are already adding new stuff besides the voice assistants that uses the constant audio monitoring.

The newest version of Android has an optional feature called "playing nearby" that continuously listens for and identifies any music it can hear and displays the artist and song title as a notification.

On the listing page, there's a spreadsheet-type section, showing this watch compared to similar items. That's where I noticed the 5.14 pounds.

After reading your response, I scrolled down to specifications for this watch and saw

No, I have not reversed those. That's what is in the linked Amazon listing.
