Yesterday about 5:00 pm I suffered a seizure, my right are just twisted up and was unusable for about 15 to 20 seconds and I felt like a washrag completely wrung out. I couldn’t manage to dial the phone, so, after catching my breath for a few minutes I was able to go to my neighbor and have him dial 911.

I’m reminded of “Dizzy” Dean’s comment to his brother, after getting beaned with a pitch ‘They pictures of my head didn’t find anything up there, I figure the was the same result after my MRI. Wink

Still waiting for the results from a couple of tests, however it’s looking my glucose was very high ( in the ambulance it was 479 !!!) so, there we are, hoping I get to come home tomorrow. Had a minute, so just wanted to say I’ve been missing my SF fix.

Hang in there!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Thanks, everyone. Right now its looking like another day in the hospital, I just finished having diabetes education. They moved me out of MICU into a room on the 7th floor with a lovely view of the ocean.

As the monkey pointed out no more gummi bears. As well as orange juice, pancakes, white bread, etc. *sigh* On the other hand the possibility exists that with proper diet and exercise I might out from underneath this. Only time will tell. Fingers crossed.
