I don't understand what's so hard about it... Big Grin

We used to put bird seed out on the front steps in a little tray. It would attract all sorts of birds - blue jays, mourning doves, chickadees, gold finches, even the occasional cardinal.

Used to do it year around, but had to quit doing it in the Summer because it drew bears. We'd wait until after the bears had denned up and do it all Winter. Now I'm not sure we'll be able to do that, thanks to the flock of about a dozen turkeys that have us on their daily route.

I guess we can still do the hanger. The blue jays and chickadees knock down enough to attract the mourning doves that clean up under the feeder.

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Well, it's harder when you're not baiting...

Beautiful birds but they can be a pest. As a previous turkey hunter both shotgun and archery I would be willing to bet good money that if they had equal smelling capabilities of some other wild animals added to their sight and hearing it would almost impossible to harvest one and bring it home to the dinner table. ..................... drill sgt.

LOL.

I'm seeing more and more in peoples yards. We even had a little girl playing outside that got chased and knocked down by a Tom. They can do a number on you.

After hunting them for many years, I wholeheartedly agree with you. I've call numerous turkeys to me only to see them haul ass when I'm certain they couldn't see anything other than my eyes move.

^^^^^^ For a true challange on the "turkey" is to try archery. Over several years as only able to come to full draw (3 times) while waiting for the bird to take one or two more steps to have the bird vanish into thin air. ........... drill sgt.

Turkeys know hunting season rules better than most hunters. Wink
