I am shocked that FoxNews would publish a positive article such as this, about resistance to tyranny and the actions of Americans (Colonialists, in this case) using firearms to secure freedoms.

After Parkers faceoff with the Brits and the action at the Old North Bridge, the British retreat was a disaster and they were only saved when reinforcements rushed artillery from Boston. The movie April Morning does a good job of showing Parker and his men facing the Brits as they deployed onto Lexington Common.

I've been through Boston and the NE-area for business many times but, had never gotten the opportunity to take some personal time to visit and appreciate the area. Just before all the pandemic shut-downs and the fear-machine was getting ramped-up, I got a chance to; took a bus tour from Boston up to Lexington Green and to Concord, what a nice area. Walking around the Green, I can only imagine what was going through the minds of the locals as they set up for a confrontation, same also for the locals in Concord, then the running skirmish back to Boston...what a time in history.

Next time someone is going "nobody needs assault weapons" just remind them that those British Troops had been sent into the area to seize a small Field Canon rumored to be in the area and also Seize all gun powder they could locate with forced searches of the homesteads.

I've stopped counting.

A very good lesson on history and the importance of a well-regulated militia can be found at any Appleseed event, as many here know.
