UNC SJW arrested for impeding free speech
It's amazing how these people feel that just because they disagree with you, they can do whatever they want. Well, she found out you can't...

She was arrested for larceny, not impeding free speech, but if she forcibly took the sign it would have been robbery under the laws I enforced.

She was arrested and that's all that matters.

We need to see much, much more of this.

I hope that happened on a Saturday morning and she had to sit in jail till her arraignment on Monday. That would sting a snowflake bigtime.

Good for that officer. He was calm and polite and did what needed to be done.

I wonder if the charge is serious enough to get her expelled.

Just another day in paradise.

Awesome!! Need much more.

Sadly the days of arresting someone on Friday night and making them sit the whole weekend are pretty much gone. We have to offer them a bond within 24 hrs. Our judges have ipads so we can email them bond requests.

This will hurt her parents in the wallet and cause her some issues. Maybe she will rethink her life choices.

UNC Chapel Hill is in Orange County. The Town of Chapel Hill, the County and the District Attorney are wholely owned subsidiaries of UNC Chapel Hill. NOTHING will happen.

She would not have even placed under a bond, much less put in jail.

There will be 100 lawyers lining up to defend her, IF she actually goes to court, which is doubtful.

This person is representing the beliefs of those who run Orange County.

What is disturbing about the whole thing to me, is her attitude. She thinks she should be allowed to steal from someone she disagrees with or at least impede their free speech.

In our area lots of people have gotten and still get their candidates signs stolen from their yards.
This county is heavily conservative, the county seat is not. Though it is heavily conservative, we still get our signs stolen even out here in the country.
Besides getting candidates signs taken from our yard, we got our "Protect Religious Freedoms" sign taken.

All of what you said may be true, but there is at least one person that will no longer be taking property that does not belong to her. It's a start. Maybe a second or a third will see this video and not act on their childish instincts. If you arrest 1,000 of them across the country and post the video on YouTube it will make a difference even if not a single one of them serves a day or pays a penny.

Until someone tells them their behavior is not acceptable they will keep it up. Too bad her daddy didn't tell her when she was a 5 year old she shouldn't take things that don't belong to her.

"Nothing" will happen? Baby cakes, she was arrested on camera. "Something" has already happened.

This^^! Even if nothing comes of this, she gets to live her life knowing that her mugshot and fingerprints are on file. Hopefully the humiliation of going through booking will give her some perspective.

My name is not Baby cakes. And I know you own the forum but that does not mean you can treat people like dirt.

You are not here, you have no idea what you are talking about and I'm sure you will take your usual low road and ban me and if that's the way you have to act then have at it.

It may not seem like a big deal too many but just like Sigcrazy stated: her mugshot and prints are on file.

Even if the charges are dismissed she was still arrested and charged with a crime.

So if she ever decides to apply for a State, county or federal job or one that she needs a security clearance for she will have to list this.

Also, she will have to explain why she was arrested.

I used to love to do background investigations on individuals like this. They always thought they were so smooth and would never say anything about an incident like this. Fast forward a few months and I would be detailed to conduct an in depth investigation regarding the incident.

No only would you get a letter designation for being arrested but you would also get one for deception, and or lying.

Right now this will be a badge of honor for this self-entitled twit. 10-15 years from now, maybe, just maybe she will have learned something. Given how personally engrossed in ones self the left is, i doubt it.
