vthokySF holster makers, I have a question.
Good evening, all.
A great friend of mine makes Kydex holsters for a variety of pistols, and offered to make me a couple for my P938SAS. The only challenge was that she didn't have the mold. I found, on Knifekits.com, a mold marked "Holster Molding Prop - for Sig Sauer P938 (w/Lima 38 Laser) (Prepped)," and bought it. My P938SAS has Sig's Lima38 laser, plus I added the Hogue rubber overmold grips.
She's been working with the mold and her usual routine for a while, and is having trouble get the retention right. She's looked for Kydex holsters already on the market, to compare a little, and not found any. That leads to the question, "Is there something about this gun and laser that makes holsters impossible to make?"
If you don't mind my asking: have any of you dealt with this combination (gun and laser) successfully? Is there a trick to this combo that is unusual, compared with others? Is that why we don't find other offerings available? Did I choose the wrong gun mold? What other solutions would you suggest?
Thank you, all.

StramboI set my retention just behind the front edge of the trigger guard on the side of the holster against my body. Looking at the laser module, I’d do it the same way only it will be the laser unit with the retention so it would be too loose if you take it off.
