I met the man at the NRA Convention in Charlotte one year. He made time for every single person in line, signing autographs and shaking hands and taking plenty of pictures. He signed an autograph for me and one for my daughter's boyfriend at the time that was active USMC. Great down to earth fellow.

Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.

Exactly my experience with him at SHOT show. The line to meet him went around the corner but once you got to him, he spent time with you and talked to you with interest. That impressed me so much.

Not quite.

He wanted the part, so he prepped and "did the bit" to get the part.

He earned it.

(yes, he was first recruited as an advisor)

Ya I thought I heard/read he basically said the actor wasn’t cutting it, they asked if he could do any better, and then he stole the show literally.

...Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, was just a freight train coming your way...

If I am not mistaken, he was also the helicopter pilot in Apocalypse Now.

He was the pilot of Eagle Thrust 7.

If you're goin' through hell, keep on going.
Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it.
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there.
