Yes, the Iditarod is this weekend. I was selected again this year to be a dog handler at the re-start in Willow. Always look forward to it, a chance to work with some outstanding people and incredible dogs. It's also a sign that the days are getting longer and winter is coming to an end!

It seems most fans have a favorite musher to follow, I've got a favorite dog, The Big Bad Wolf. He's a part of Jeff Deeter's team from Black Spruce Dog Sledding. I met The Wolf two years ago and he's a great dog. Looks like a miniature version of my own dog Bandit and has an attitude to match.
