84, good on you! I'm still 2 years from RMD's. Between CHF and cancer, I might still have to deal with distributions, but I doubt I'll make it to 84. but, hey, you never know.
Hard part is getting the docs to tell me what's going to kill me first. If heart failure is going to punch my ticket in 2 years, I'm certainly not going to spend a year of it chasing cancer around. We'll see what's up when all the testing is back. Until then, today is a pretty good day.

That is because they really dont know. The PET scan will yield more information.

pace40Actually, pretty surprised they posted this before my Dr saw it. I won't bore you with the whole thing, but the summary is:
Impression:
> Extensive PSMA activity within the prostate gland, consistent with newly diagnosed prostate carcinoma.
> PSMA avid metastatic lymphadenopathy in the pelvis, retroperitoneum, and mediastinum.
> PSMA avid osseous metastasis in the L5 vertebral body.
>Circumferential bladder wall thickening. 2.4 cm nonavid lymph node anterior to the bladder, nonspecific.. Recommend correlation with urinalysis.
They should have just written "You're Fucked" in big red letters on top. Looks like I'll be playing radiology Whack-a-Mole for a while.

Thaks BT1, thanks Doc. My urologist said that since I fully expected to be dead from CHF by now, he would do his very best to keep me alive so heart failure could kill me instead of cancer.
Started doublet hormone therapy yesterday (Orgovyx and Nubequa) and radiation oncology is waiting for insurance approval to schedule. No mention of chemo yet but that may very well change once oncology sees the scan.

kkinaJust returned from the clinic. Fingers are already tingling (chemo-induced neuropathy). The least of my worries in the coming weeks.

Thank you!
Well, if nothing else, I'm meeting new people. Since my hospital stay in March, I have started collecting doctors like most of us here collect guns. I now have one of each of the following specialties:
General Practice
Cardiology
Heart Failure Cardiology
Cardiac Oncology (new)
Urology (new)
Urologic Oncology (new)
Radiation Oncology (new)
Medical Oncology (new)
I can see them all sitting around a table having lunch...
"20 bucks says he makes it five years"
"double or nothing for 7 years"
"No way 100 bucks says 2 max"
.......

I have a similar list as well. So many new friends the last 6 months with either an MD or RN after their name.
