Getting a telegram delivered to your front door. {Usually a birth or bad news of some sort}. The Bellhop paging someone in the hotel lobby. Elevator operators in uniform. The best were female in upscale office buildings. Women wearing white gloves for special occasions. Comsikey park Chicago watching Nellie Fox and Luis Aparicio working a double play.
