Saturday Funny Compliments MLB's Trevor Bauer
Ok, I'm a Cleveland Indians fan and a Trevor Bauer fan in specific, and couldn't stop laughing as I watched this Twitter post. Apparently ole Trevor owned the Astro's yesterday during Clevelands 2-1 win, and took it upon himself to troll Alex Bregman on social media afterward. This isn't the first time Bauer has trolled Bregman, and I doubt it will be his last.

Yes I know the small video is juvenile and childish, but I still can't stop laughing at it. Big Grin

Go to the link provided and watch the gif in Trevor's Twitter feed (I can't get it to embed here). Oh Yeah

Anyone remember when professional athletes acted like professionals and not like High School kids?

Also when fans were arguing who was the best pitcher, catcher, fielder, hitter, etc. they argued with statistics, won-loss games, home runs, batting average, fielding percentage, stolen bases, catches and thrown outs from the outfield, double plays etc. Not what was posted on various media accounts after the game.

That my friend was during a time when the male population as a whole could count past ten without taking off their shoes. Wink

This. Obviously he wasn’t humbled after the last time he faced the Braves. Smile

Bauer is still butt hurt over the 2018 division series game where Bregman took him deep and the Astros swept them to move on. Bauer tried to insinuate that the Astros pitchers were doctoring the ball after that.....he isn't trolling Bregman, he is showing the lasting insecurity he has from the loss in 2018 Wink Bauer's good outing against the Astros in April is meaningless....perhaps he should "dominate" when it actually matters, otherwise his "trolling" is simply reminding everyone how insecure he is......

Jim, let me reiterate before offering further comment. I'm a life long Indians fan, and on some level, a Trevor Bauer fan. That said, Bauer is not insecure, he's an ass with a personality most person won't ever warm to. You could likely count the number of friends the guy has on one hand. But to be fair about last year, Bauer was on track for a possible Cy Young award last year until he took a line drive off an ankle late in the season. When he came back after that injury, he wasn't pitching at anywhere close to the same level he was prior to the injury.

All of that said, I think a bit of controversy and players poking at each other makes baseball more interesting/entertaining to the masses. There are a number of NBA players that troll social media poking at each other, and that activity has only raised fan interest in the game. As everyone constantly reminds me, the game and its fans have changed from what I grew up with.
