New Range (no, not the fun kind, unfortunately)
SO i finally bit the bullet and bought a new range/oven/stovetop whatever.
this one

My old range was a gimme. I got it from the local high school. They had used it as a prop in plays for years and had no idea if it actually worked. I took it home, put an element in the oven, and have used it for the last 20 years. On a side note, the only mouse that has ever been in the house portion of my metal building was shipped in via this appliance. Smile
Anyway, perfectly serviceable but a bit (ok, a lot) beat up.
Fridge went out about a week ago, so the GF and I went appliance shopping.
Managed to get the fridge and the range with the Christmas bonus.
Now, my question (yes, I should have researched this a bit beforehand):
I have 3 wires coming to my old range. It is wired direct so I know I'll need a box & receptacle.
I can't find anywhere what this range requires. Or is it one of those either or type situations?
will it be able to be wired up with my existing 3 wires? Or am I going to have to pull wire?
This is one reason I detest buying stuff like this; by the time I do, the codes have ALWAYS changed. Couple that with nothing I do is ever "standard" or "simple".

It looks like pages 4-6 of the installation guide cover the information you're looking for.

Follow what he posted on page 5 for a 3-wire connection. Here’s a good video showing you what to do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2IfBInJPj8

If you are going to install the 50 amp 3 wire outlet and box, please note the location shown on page 2 fig. 3 so that the range can slide all the way back. Do not ask me how I know this now.

Thanks guys. I do NOT pretend to be an electrician.
And as much as this thing cost I’d rather not let the fairy dust out of it. The old range is just several dead shorts with some knobs....

Yup. Been there too. The old stove had it near the floor. The new stove had to have it six inches higher, four inches to the left, and mounted sideways.

Be sure to measure twice while doing this.
