While I knew about Muammar al-Qaddafi's terrorist inclinations, I was not aware that Libya had located such an enormous source of water, or that he had initiated such a massive infrastructure project. It really is something to consider the scale of this effort and just how long these pipelines are, to say nothing of the extreme working conditions. I would think Libya's water source gives it a strategic advantage in the region, but wonder if those pipelines are also a vulnerability as well. There is some interesting history, some politics, some geography, and some science in this video, and it even seems to delve a little into some interesting climate science... which is why I thought this video was worth sharing. @ 18 minutes https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=...Eckg&pp=QAFIAQ%3D%3D | ||

Given Qaddafi's reputation, I'm sure all of those pipeline workers were paid handsomely. _________________________________________________________________________ “A man’s treatment of a dog is no indication of the man’s nature, but his treatment of a cat is.
