Down through the ages, there have been some very notable psychologists who have opined and written about what drives human beings. Just about everyone has heard of Sigmund Freud as he claimed the sex drive is responsible for all human behavior.

But, another less-known psychologist was Alfred Adler , and his hypothesis was that the need for attention is the driving force behind all human behavior.
