I have a 2013 Sonata I'm giving my daughter. The headlights are good but the plastic could use a little clean-up, nothing major. What's everybody's go to kit? I'm looking for something simple, not involving any power tools.

That guarantee by Cerakote for as long as you own your car looks too good to be true. Please let us know in a year or two how it really held up. It would be nice to find something that truly lasts.

Will do but I doubt I'l have this car longer than another year. It's her first car and won't drive it too much. When she gets comfy and more experienced, I'll get her something newer. I just want to make sure everything is good on the car. Bought new headlight bulbs too along with the other usual stuff (brakes, tires, oil, filters, etc.).

I used the Sylvania kit with good results. Project farm on YouTube had a good test of them. Cerakote looks similar and cheaper though.

The fix doesn't last, generally they will haze over again, and again....

Look on Amazon you can find replacement lens at a decent price for most popular vehicles.

After fighting with the OE 20 year old lens on my truck I just bit the bullet and replaced them, good lighting is important for safety...

Not sure if these fit your vehicle but searched 2013 Sonata $135 a pair, yeah they are probably Ching Tang from Guangzoo but, they are clear...

I don't know if any that truly last. I have one car (Explorer) that's glass and is fine at almost 20 years old.
My wife's car is a Lexus (plastic) and I have to polish it every few months with a wax/cleaner or Lexol polish made for the job. Unfortunately that's just a temporary fix.

I just did the Cerakote kit while it did help somewhat on my truck it definitely wasn’t perfect. Maybe too much oxidation and pitting. I’ll see how long it last.

I used the Sylvania kit on two vehicles over 20 years old with plastic lenses. Both came out looking really nice. Too early for me to know the long term results.

It's simple, no power tools involved, but involves lots of sanding with 3 different grits.

I have about a year on the Cericoat kit and it still looks great.
The car sits outside 24/7.

I purchased Cerakote headlight kit 7/7/21 and installed soon after. Step 2 was wet sanding and that step truly removed the oxidation. Step 3 was the ceramic coating (true coating which is better longevity than sealant or wax).

Still looks as good as the day I did it.
